In addition to voting in the presidential contest between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, voters in Arizona will cast ballots for the state’s nine congressional districts. Voters will also cast a ballot for one of the state’s two Senate seats. The Arizona Senate race is between Democrat Ruben Gallego and Republican Kari Lake. The contest is one of the most closely watched in the nation as Democrats try to hold a seat being vacated by Kyrsten Sinema, who was elected as a Democrat and then switched to become an independent. Lake is a staunch ally of Trump’s and has mimicked his claims of stolen elections. Voters here will also decide ballot referendums.
