The Dyson V8 is the brand’s most affordable cordless vacuum and, at 5.6 pounds, it’s also one of the lightest. It comes with a crevice tool, pet hair tool and a dusting brush attachment for cleaning upholstered surfaces like sofas and chairs. It has a runtime of up to 40 minutes and it works as a handheld vacuum.
This six-pound cordless vacuum has LED headlights at the base so you can easily spot any dust or debris. It also comes with a crevice tool, brush attachment and a fur brush made for cleaning pet hair on carpet and furniture. It has a 40-minute runtime and is most effective on carpet, according to Bissell.
Best upright vacuum deals
The Shark Navigator is a favorite at NBC Select when it comes to affordable upright vacuums. It weighs around 12 pounds, has a large dustbin and has a crevice tool that makes it easy to access hard-to-reach areas like stairs, shelves and window panes. It also comes with an upholstery tool for cleaning furniture and pet hair.
Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet Vacuum
Bissell’s CleanView Swivel Pet Vacuum is a great upright vacuum for pet owners, especially since it has a powerful brushroll that’s made to lift pet hair from furniture and carpet. It also has an upholstery tool for furniture, a dustbin with a capacity of 1 liter that’s removable, and cleans both carpet and hardwood floors.
This upright option has LED lights on the front so you can more easily see debris on the floor, including hardwood and carpet. It has a brush tool for cleaning pet hair and comes with an extended attachment so you can reach elevated areas. It also works as a portable vacuum since the top detaches.
The Eureka Airspeed vacuum is a lightweight upright vacuum — it only weighs around 7 pounds and comes with a crevice tool and brush attachments for upholstery. You can easily clean out the dustbin by pressing a button on the side, and you can store the attachments on the dustbin itself, so you won’t have to search for them.
Best portable vacuum deals
This extremely popular upholstery cleaner-vacuum hybrid is ideal for removing stains from your sofa, carpet, upholstered chairs and more. It’s great for pet owners and its portability makes it easy to move around your home. It also has a crevice tool and brush attachment.
Similar to Bissell’s other Little Green model, this option has many of the same features but it uses steam to clean stains from carpet and upholstered surfaces. It’s ideal for cleaning furniture and the inside of your car, but you can also use it on hardwood floor. It has three steam settings for different types of stains and comes with a brush attachment.
