I have a bottle of Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap next to every sink in my house. I find the bottles to be aesthetically pleasing and the soap is gentle enough for my toddler’s sensitive skin. I also love all of the scent options — especially their seasonal smells, like this Apple Cider version. Also nice: The soap formula has aloe vera and olive oil to nourish skin, according to the brand.

These disinfectant wipes are free of bleach and ammonia but eliminate 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, according to Lysol. I’ve used them on countertops, toilets and my toddler’s toys after she’s been sick or had friends over. This professional-grade blender is definitely a splurge, but for NBC Select editorial operations associate Jem Alabi, it’s worth every penny, even more so when you can catch it on sale.

Alabi says: “My family has been known to blend over 20+ pounds of tomatoes and peppers at once and then freeze them in bulk for the perfect soup base. It has been almost 10 years with this blender, we have moved houses, lost the cover a few times, and have done nothing special to optimize the blade sharpness but this blender has run smoothly and impressively, just like the day we got it. Hundreds of smoothies, purees, and even doughs have been made with this blender.”

It also has a HEPA sealed system that traps allergens inside the vacuum, according to the brand. It comes with an attachment made specifically for pet hair, too, as well as one for crevices.

Like many of the brand’s other products, this dish soap is made without fragrances, dyes, and other potentially irritating ingredients. But just because it’s gentle doesn’t mean it goes easy on dirty dishes — it cuts through grease and removes crusted-on residue, according to the brand.

These dishwasher detergent pods wash away grease and contain enzymes to break down stuck-on food. The detergent formula also prevents hard water stains and prevents residue, according to the brand. They’re scented with lemon essence and you get 47 pods in a container.
