If you use a Love to Dream sound machine to help your baby drift off, you’ll want to pay attention to this news: The brand has recalled their portable white noise machine because its lithium-ion battery can overheat while charging with an incompatible charger, posing a risk of fire and burns. Why was the Love to Dream sound machine recalled?
Love to Dream recalled its Sleep Machine because the device’s lithium-ion battery can overheat while charging if it’s connected to a charger that isn’t compatible with the unit. That overheating poses a risk of injury from fire and burns, a serious concern for a product that’s often kept in a nursery.
The recall applies only to the Love to Dream Sleep Machine with model number LTD-SM23 and date code 7W15TN. The recalled product is a white, heart-shaped portable white noise machine with a night light and a tan carry strap. You can find the date code printed on the side of the machine or on the back of its box, and Love to Dream says units with any other date code are not affected and aren’t part of the recall.
The affected machines were sold from February 2025 through September 2026, and Love to Dream is conducting the recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The company’s recall notice doesn’t say how many units are affected or whether any overheating incidents or injuries have been reported.
What to do if you have the recalled sound machine
If your Love to Dream Sleep Machine has model number LTD-SM23 and date code 7W15TN, stop using it immediately. Disconnect it from any charger and put it somewhere safe, away from anything flammable or anything that could damage it. Then visit lovetodream.com/recall to find out how to dispose of the device and claim your refund. Because the machine contains a lithium-ion battery, you should not toss it in your household trash or recycling bin. Instead, dispose of it only according to your local requirements for lithium-ion products.
