The multi-hyphenate’s favorite pet products are just as glamorous as you’d imagine, but they’re still (mostly) practical — here’s where to get them.

Talking Shop is our series where we talk to interesting people about their most interesting buys.

Paris Hilton has worn many hats throughout her over 20-year career: actress, singer, model, fashion icon, entrepreneur, CEO, activist, investor… The list goes on and on. But she’s quick to tell you that the most meaningful role of her life is being a mom — yes, that includes to her dogs, who I’m sure you’ve seen on Instagram (they even have their own account). Hilton is more than just an animal lover, however. Beyond pampering her pets, she fosters dogs, advocates for animal rights and has her own pet product lines, including Pamper Like Paris, a pet food line she recently collaborated on with Weruva.

Below, I talked to Hilton about everything she (and her pups) can’t live without, including a few items that make her life easier as a pet parent. Some of Hilton’s picks are essentials, like a cozy bed she’d curl up in herself, while other accessories add a touch of luxury to your dog’s life.

“I love these Godiva-inspired pet toys,” says Hilton. “As long as it’s the right size, squeaks or otherwise gets them to pounce, it’s a win-win. Having puppies, they are always in play mode. And they love choices in their toys — probably because I constantly spoil them with something new — but really, who could resist this?” The toys are packaged similarly to chocolate truffles, and the box includes four plushies that squeak or crinkle.

“Rarely are my pets not always next to me or the Cutsie Crew,” says Hilton (the Cutsie Crew refers to her children). “But when they are not curled in our laps, carried in a Chanel bag or sleeping on the bed, and we need to keep them up for their own safety, I love these clear pet gates that keep that visual connection to me to reduce anxiety. They are also pretty. The clear look is uncluttered, unlike wooden or plastic gates, and the gold hardware is so luxe.” Hiddin makes its clear gates in various styles, including freestanding panels, zig-zag folding panels and wall-mounted panels.

“Really, really good sleep is everything when it comes to getting rid of anxiety, so I love anything that snuggles and wraps my pups in comfort,” says Hilton. “These Barefoot Dreams beds are everything and more. I would curl up in one of these. I’m a little jealous they are for the dogs.” The beds have a high bolster around the perimeter to cocoon your dog in the center, and it comes with a removable pillow pad, too. It’s covered in a soft microfiber material, and it’s machine-washable, according to the brand. The bed comes in small, medium and large sizes — “Always measure your dog nose to tail to make sure they have plenty of room to spread out,” says Hilton.

“Everyone needs a little cashmere” are words Hilton lives by, and she extends that belief to the pets in her life, too. Her top pick is Naked Cashemere’s dog sweater: “I just need a hot pink one,” she says. The pullover sweater is made from 100% cashmere with a jersey knit and a ribbed trim, and it has a slit that lets you attach a leash to a harness underneath. It comes in sizes XS to XL.

“Sometimes the pack gets a little ahead of themselves at dinner time,” says Hilton. “I can never seem to just have one fur baby — I love the energy and love from all of my pups, so a slow feeder keeps them from eating too fast, which can cause problems,” Hilton recommends Lambwolf’s slow feeder since it also doubles as a lick mat. “I can put a few healthy treats on it, and it relieves boredom, so I don’t feel so bad when I have to leave them at home,” she says. The slow feeder part of the 3-in-1 Bento has eight dividers, and it comes with a reversible lick mat that snaps on top, so you can challenge your dog with two patterns: waffle and target. Hilton is also a fan of Happy Luna Pet Shop’s MealMaze slow feeder and lick mat tray if you’re looking for a larger option.

“I never miss a chance to add a little bling to my pups,” says Hilton. “I had a chance to do a collaboration with my friend Miriam, who runs Moshiqa, and she absolutely understands how to add a little sparkle. Everything she does is utterly adorable. It’s so fun to work with people who love animals as much as you do. She has exquisite taste for herself and for her pups.”

Moshiqa’s Dubai Dog Necklace isn’t part of the collection Hilton helped design (that one is filled with lots of hot pink accessories), but it’s one of her favorite items from the brand. The necklace, available in sizes S to XL, has three layers of pearls, gold detailing, and a silky ribbon to tie it around your dog’s neck.

“I love anything natural to give as a treat,” says Hilton. “Little dogs can be particularly prone to skin or tummy issues, so when I find really special natural dog treats as cute as they are good for my fur babies, I splurge. The trick is keeping Carter [Hilton’s husband] and the kids out of the puppy cookie jar when they look and smell this good.”

Bubba Rose Biscuit Co. makes some of Hilton’s favorite dog treats. The cookies are made with ingredients like oat and rice flour, peanut butter and eggs, and they’re topped with a yogurt-based frosting. You can buy the cookies in shapes like unicorns, hearts and donuts.
