Who will take home a golden statue? Who will be trending on social media the next day? Here’s everything you need to know going into Sunday night’s awards event.

Where can I watch the Golden Globes and red carpet?

The Golden Globes begin at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on CBS or streamed on Paramount+. The ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

The red carpet for the Golden Globes kicks off at 6 p.m. ET. The official broadcast from Variety begins at 6:30 p.m. ET. It will stream on Variety’s YouTube channel and can also be found on Fire TV devices.

Additionally, E! News will be hosting “LIVE from E!: Golden Globes 2026” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET, which will air on E! Network and stream on Peacock.

Who is hosting the 2026 Golden Globes?

Comedian Nikki Glaser will return as the 2026 Golden Globes host. Glaser received positive reception for her work last year in a role tailor-made for her comedic style.

Which movies are predicted to win 2026 Golden Globes?

“Sinners,” which took home four prizes at the Critics’ Choice Awards, is a favorite for best drama motion picture. It will have its work cut out for it, with “Sentimental Value,” “Hamnet” and “Frankenstein” competing in the same category.

“One Battle After Another” had a big night at the Critics’ Choice Awards, taking home best picture and best director. It’s likely to continue bringing in wins Sunday, including the best motion picture (comedy/musical) category.

Which TV shows could win 2026 Golden Globes?

In the best television series drama category, “The Pitt” is a favorite after taking home five Emmy Awards in 2025 for its breakout first season, though it will have to compete with award favorites “Severance” and “The White Lotus,” along with Vince Gilligan’s new hit “Pluribus.”

“Adolescence” is a front-runner for best limited series after its strong showing at the Emmys last September, when Owen Cooper became the youngest male actor to win an Emmy, at 15 years old. Fan favorites “Black Mirror” and “Dying for Sex” will also compete in the category.

Best television series nominees include “Hacks,” “The Bear,” “Abbott Elementary” and “Only Murders in the Building” in what feels like a reunion. While “Abbott Elementary” or “Hacks” could be a surprise winner, the award will likely go to Emmy favorite “The Studio.”

What were this year’s Golden Globes snubs?

A few films were notably absent from nominations. Box office favorite “Superman” did not receive any Golden Globes nods, despite two-time Golden Globe winner Rachel Brosnahan taking on the Lois Lane role.

“Wicked: For Good” missed the mark for best film (comedy/musical) category, and “Jay Kelly” was not nominated for best picture (drama), although both films produced nominations in other categories.

Whose speeches could trend on social media?

No doubt, Glaser will be trending as she jabs at actors and celebrity culture. Watch for any moments where celebrity memes come back, such as Timothée Chalamet’s orange “Marty Supreme” outfit or Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s “holding space” interview.

Political speeches will also be a major point to watch for, as many actors have commented on U.S. immigration policy and LGBTQ rights at recent awards events. It’s worth watching for any symbolic outfit choices during the red carpet walk, such as the Gaza pins worn at past events.
