Kamala Harris has won the New Mexico contest, NBC News projects, and secured the state’s five Electoral College votes. In 2020, Biden won New Mexico with 54% of the vote to Trump’s 44%. In 2016, Hillary Clinton won New Mexico with 48% to Trump’s 40%. The state has voted for the Democrat in every presidential election since 1992, with one exception: 2004, when New Mexico supported incumbent Republican George W. Bush.
