A violent altercation at SoFi Stadium during the Houston Texans-Los Angeles Rams game Sunday left a female fan with a bloodied face as four spectators were led away — two in handcuffs — viral video showed.
The woman, in a No. 99 J.J. Watt jersey, could be seen with blood all over her nose and lower face as security guards at the stadium in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles, escorted her away from Section 428, according to numerous video clips on social media.
Her male companion, wearing a blue No. 7 C.J. Stroud Texans jersey, was also led away from the scene.
After the two Texans fans departed, security guards moved in on two fans seated in the row above them, video showed.
Both men appeared to be wearing Rams jerseys but took them off as the Texans fans were led away. Security guards handcuffed both Rams fans and removed them from the section.
Diego Salazar, 20, who recorded the melee from Section 516, said he rarely sees violence at Rams games. The incident unfolded in the fourth quarter, and the four fans never returned to their seats, he said.
Salazar didn't see what might have touched off the bloody confrontation.
"Normally, the fans are perfect. I mean, you do have those drunk people here and there that are going to yell and talk crap," he said Monday. "But other than that, I haven't really seen any fights, so this stood out to me."
The Rams held on for a hard-fought 14-9 victory in a battle between two squads that are expected to contend for playoff spots.
Representatives for the Rams and Inglewood police could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.
Fan violence has been a concern for NFL teams for years.
The Seattle Seahawks announced last week that undercover police officers, dressed in the gear of visiting teams, will be roaming the stands of Lumen Field looking out for badly behaving 12th men.
The Seahawks opened the 2025 season by losing to the hated San Francisco 49ers, 17-13.
