Attorneys representing the father of Bobbi Kristina Brown said Tuesday "we are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization," and insisting the 21-year-old daughter of late pop diva Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown is not married to longtime family friend Nick Gordon.

A source close to the family said Bobbi Kristina Brown has been moved from North Fulton Hospital, where she had been taken after the incident Saturday morning, to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Hospital officials would not confirm that.

"We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time,” Bobby Brown said in a statement released through his attorneys.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia, home at around 10:20 a.m. that day and is in a medically-induced coma, friends have told NBC News. The hospital has not confirmed that she is in a coma. Police have said they found no drugs in the home, and are treating the incident as a medical investigation.

"To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon." Brown said in Tuesday's statement.

The statement seems to reflect a resistance to the claimed relationship between Bobbi Kristina Brown and Gordon, who was informally adopted by Houston. The pair once called each other brother and sister, but in January of 2014 announced they were married. The announcement so upset Houston’s sister-in-law, Patricia Houston, that she obtained a restraining order against Gordon effective through April 2015.

The medical scare occurred less than two weeks before the third anniversary of Houston's death on Feb. 11, 2012, in an eerily similar setting. Houston, 48, was found dead in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel bathtub after struggling for years with drug addiction.
