President Barack Obama will deliver his speech on ISIS in prime time on Wednesday, the White House says.

Obama will speak at 9 p.m. ET from the State Floor of the White House, press secretary Josh Earnest said. Obama plans to use the speech to lay out a strategy for fighting ISIS, the Islamic militant group that has seized parts of Iraq and Syria and beheaded two Americans.

Obama previewed the speech in an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd that aired Sunday on “Meet the Press.” “I just want the American people to understand the nature of the threat and how we're going to deal with it and to have confidence that we'll be able to deal with it,” the president said.
