A doctor who arrived at Oscar Pistorius' home after he shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp testified Thursday that the Olympian pleaded that "she must not die."
The double-amputee sprinter is charged with murder with premeditation after shooting the 29-year-old model through a toilet door. Pistorius says he believed Steenkamp was an intruder.
Johan Stipp, a doctor who lives near the athlete, recounted the events of early Valentine's Day last year.
Earlier Thursday, another neighbor told the High Court in Pretoria, South Africa, that he heard male screams for help that sounded "embarrassed" after Steenkamp was shot.
The trial continues.
