Every year, I make finding the perfect gift for everyone on my list an Olympic sport. It’s one of my favorite ways to exercise creativity and show those around me how much I care about them. Whether it’s a cost-effective gift under $50, a Lego set for all ages or a gift for the beauty enthusiast, I love making my giftee’s day a little brighter. One of my favorite gifts to give during the holidays — and one that often gets put on the back burner — is stocking stuffers. While many people traditionally reserve stocking stuffers for candy, toiletries and sample-size gifts, it’s also a good idea to take a slightly more unexpected route. Medicube is one of our favorite beauty brands, and these ultra-popular pore pads are a favorite of NBC Select editorial projects manager Rebecca Rodriguez. “I thought toner wasn’t for me since I have dry, sensitive skin, but now it’s one of my favorite steps in my routine because they feel so soothing on my skin,” she says. “My pores have basically vanished since I started using these toner pads from Medicube.” The toner pads have alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta hydroxy acids (BHA), both of which help exfoliate the skin, keep your pores clear and improve skin texture.
