Hoka Women’s Challenger 7

These lightweight trail running shoes are designed for more rugged terrain. It has a breathable mesh upper so your feet stay dry when you sweat and a stacked rubber outsole for added comfort. It also has 4 mm lugs in the center and on the perimeter of the sole to help improve traction on uneven terrain, according to the brand.

Hoka Women’s Mach 6

This shoe’s semi-firm cushioning and durable rubber outsole made it a favorite of NBC Select associate reporter Bianca Alvarez. She likes that they help her move around freely without weighing her down, plus the shoe’s tongue is attached to the upper, which keeps it in place as you run.
