Florida cop charged with possessing dead man’s house was disciplined previously for mishandling evidence, slow 911 responses

A Florida police officer who resigned this week after being arrested on charges of unlawfully taking over a dead man’s home and stealing his identity has a history of misconduct, including keeping prisoner property in the trunk of his police car for days and being a no-show for 911 calls, according to his personnel file.
