Disability activist Alice Wong, who was born with spinal muscular atrophy, talks about the misconceptions about disabilities in the mainstream media, and the need to change the narrative in how people with disabilities are portrayed.
Look for new "Life Stories" videos published on Thursdays beginning in May and through September. "Life Stories" is part of "NBC Asian America Presents...," a new video channel that will feature documentaries centered around themes and voices found in Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
