Tamara Green and several other women who have sued Bill Cosby for defamation won a key ruling in federal court Monday that will allow them to view files related to the only case in which he faces criminal charges.
A federal judge in Philadelphia ruled today that Green, through her attorneys and a subpoena, can get access to attorney Dolores Troiani's case files.
Troiani represents Andrea Constand, who says she was drugged and molested by the actor at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004. Troiani also represented Constand in 2005 when they reached a confidential settlement to a lawsuit against Cosby.
Constand accused Cosby of sexual assault in 2005. At the time the prosecutor declined to file charges. However, Constant settled a lawsuit with Cosby out of court.
In December, prosecutors in Pennsylvania re-examined Constand's case and charged Cosby with aggravated indecent assault. He was freed on $1 million bond.

In the defamation case, the judge ruled in Cosby's favor in his motion to quash parts of the subpoena: attorney's will not have access to the confidential settlement and other materials in the case file that do not pertain to the plaintiffs.
Cosby has repeatedly denied dozens of allegations of sexual assault — some of which date back to the 1960s — from dozens of women across the country.
The comedian has also counter-sued the women suing him for defamation, claiming that they intentionally inflicted emotional distress, and "for their malicious, opportunistic and false and defamatory accusations of sexual misconduct."
The suit also claims the women intentionally derailed an upcoming television opportunity.
