It looks like Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking aren’t the only people worried that artificial intelligence could spell doom for mankind. “Computers are going to take over from humans, no question,” Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, said in an interview with The Australian Financial Review. This comes after Musk said that AI is “potentially more dangerous than nukes” and Hawking said it could “spell the end of the human race.” Not every scientist believes that full artificial intelligence would be dangerous or is even feasible. But Woz seems to have joined the crowd of tech and science celebrities worried about a “Terminator”-style future. “Like people including Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk have predicted, I agree that the future is scary and very bad for people,” he told the Financial Review. “Will we be the gods? Will we be the family pets? Or will we be ants that get stepped on? I don't know about that.” You might also want to stop cursing at your frozen MacBook. As Wozniak said, “if I'm going to be treated in the future as a pet to these smart machines … well I'm going to treat my own pet dog really nice.”
