American warplanes took out ISIS tanks, armed trucks and facilities in Syria and Iraq on Friday in a fourth day of the expanded campaign against the Islamic militants, the U.S. military said. The Associated Press, citing human rights activists, reported that the airstrikes in Syria targeted oil installations, taking aim at one of the main sources of financing for ISIS.

U.S. Central Command reported 10 strikes Thursday and Friday — three in Syria and seven in Iraq. The Syria strikes took out four ISIS tanks and damaged another, Central Command said. The Iraq strikes destroyed Humvees, armed vehicles, a guard shack and a checkpoint and damaged a mine-resistant vehicle, it said.
