More bizarrely, for some would-be viewers, the voice of a Mandarin Chinese translation played in the in the background for a good chunk of Apple CEO Tim Cook's presentation. The livestream was only available to watch on Apple devices — so at least Windows users were spared the technical frustration. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
