JERUSALEM - Israeli police fired at crowd of Palestinian protesters and four journalists in east Jerusalem on Wednesday, including NBC News correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin’s team. The police fired rubber bullets and hurled stun grenades at the four who wore protective gear labelled "press” and shouted that they were journalists in Hebrew, English and Arabic. An NBC cameraman was bruised by shrapnel.

Clashes broke out in the Arab neighborhood in east Jerusalem after a Palestinian teen was kidnapped and killed. His badly burned body was found overnight. The cousin of a missing boy thought to be the slain teen blamed the killing on Israelis. "It's a clear crime by settlers in revenge for the killing of the three," he said, referring to the abduction and murder of three Israeli teens.
