President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post that Russian President Vladimir Putin called him today, saying "He feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end."
14 injured by Iranian airstrikes on Israel
At least 14 people were injured in Western Galilee by Iranian airstrikes, according to Magen David Adom.
The victims were found in a two-story house in the northern region, according to the ambulance service. One person is in critical condition and the rest have "degrees of injury."

A large mock-up of Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock Shrine stood in Tehran's Enghelab (Revolution) Square during a rally today, when some gathered in solidarity with the government against Israel’s attacks on Iran.
The rally also marked Eid al-Ghadir, when, according to Shiite Muslim belief, the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated his nephew and companion Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor.
European Union calls on Israel and Iran to show restraint
European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas called on Israel and Iran "to abide by international law, show restraint and refrain from taking further steps which could lead to serious consequences such as potential radioactive release."
In the statement, Kallas reiterated the E.U.'s position that Iran should never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
"The EU will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and to find a lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear issue which can only be through a negotiated deal," Kallas said.
Trump and Putin spoke for 1 hour today, president says
President Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin called him today to wish him a happy birthday and discuss the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
"The call lasted approximately 1 hour," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. "He feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end, to which I explained, his war should also end."
Trump said they also discussed the war between Russia and Ukraine, adding that Putin "is doing the planned prisoner swaps — large numbers of prisoners are being exchanged, immediately, from both sides."
He did not give an exact time frame for the exchange, but mentioned he would discuss the conflict between the two countries with Putin next week.
Israel has been striking Iran for nearly 40 hours straight, IDF says
Israel has been striking Iran for nearly 40 hours straight in what it says is an effort to target the country's nuclear program, according to the IDF.
"Our air forces are completing a wave of strikes targeting the nuclear program at the heart of Iran," IDF spokesperson Effie Defrin said. "We destroyed the underground site in western Iran where dozens of missiles were stored. Natanz and Isfahan were struck."
The IDF said earlier today it struck an underground site in western Iran that was used to store and launch "surface-to-surface missiles and cruise missiles." The military shared video of what it said was the attack.
Defrin said Israel will "deepen the damage to Iran’s nuclear program," and that Tehran was yesterday's focus because it "is no longer immune."
"Alongside the operation in Iran, IDF forces and systems are deployed across all arenas of conflict, both in defense and offense, prepared for various developments and ready to protect the state and your security," Defrin said.
Defrin also said that the IDF has reinforced its troops in the West Bank, where it is "conducting offensive operations while also strengthening the defense of various communities and the security barrier."
4 critical buildings damaged by Israel in Isfahan, IAEA says
Four critical buildings were damaged by Israeli airstrikes at a nuclear site in Isfahan, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
This includes the Uranium Conversion Facility and the Fuel Plate Fabrication Plant, the IAEA said.
There has been no increase in off-site radiation levels, the agency said.
In southern Iran, a fire at the South Pars gas refinery has been brought under control after an Israeli airstrike impacted it today, according to Iranian state media, Mehr News.
