Floods slam New Orleans as Gulf coast braces for possible Hurricane

The National Hurricane Center predicts the system could become Hurricane Barry and will make landfall along the western Gulf Coast later this week. Currently, the system is spinning in the Gulf of Mexico, about 170 miles from the mouth of the Mississippi River with maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour.
