About 80 preschool children were evacuated from a Catholic school Thursday after police searched the building for three robbery suspects who fled after a car chase.

All three suspects were taken into custody, and no children were hurt, television stations reported.

WFOR-TV in Miami showed footage of small children running from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A woman rushed out of the school carrying two children, followed by another woman who quickly walked two youngsters out.

Iris Santos, a secretary at the church, had learned from police that a person with a gun was in the preschool.

“They say to lock the door and stay inside,” she said before the last suspect was captured.
