Tuesday night on All In with Chris Hayes: After Secretary of State John Kerry’s powerful speech Monday on the use of chemical weapons in Syria, a military response from the U.S. and its allies appears to be inevitable. According to senior U.S. officials, the attack may consist of three days of missile strikes, potentially beginning as soon as this Thursday. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said the U.S. military is “ready to go” as soon as the order is given. A team of United Nations inspectors is still in Syria, working to investigate the purported chemical attacks. Rep. Eliot Engel of New York and Julia Ioffe, Senior Editor at The New Republic, will join the conversation.

Later, Chris Hayes will talk with Ryan Grim, The Huffington Post‘s Washington Bureau Chief, and Ben Domenech, Resident Fellow at The Heartland Institute and Editor of The Transom, about the fights House Speaker John Boehner is facing from both the left and the right. At a fundraiser in Idaho Monday, the Speaker said he will not be backing down on the debt limit when the issue comes up again this fall. “We’re going to have a whale of a fight,” promised Boehner. Meanwhile, the Speaker faces protests from his own side of the aisle. A group of tea party activists rallied outside Boehner’s office Tuesday, threatening to start calling health care reform “Boehnercare” if the speaker doesn’t support defunding the program.

Plus: A massive wildfire was still raging Tuesday in California’s Yosemite National Park. The “Rim Fire” is threatening San Francisco’s water and electricity supplies as it heads towards a main reservoir and hydroelectric generators. The fire has already burned over 160,000 acres.

Chris Hayes will also talk with Arthur Caplan, Professor and Founding Head of the Division of Bioethics at New York University Langone Medical Center, and Seth Mnookin, Co-director of MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing, about the anti-vaccine megachurch now experiencing a measles outbreak. The Texas church leaders are part of a right-wing anti-science movement who question the benefits of vaccination. As of Tuesday, at least 21 people had been sickened.
