Irwin, the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been awarded the top CFO Award for a public company by the weekly newspaper South Florida Business Journal.
The South Florida Business Journal honors those it believes to be the most impressive Chief Financial Officers in the large South Florida area as people responsible for many of their company's successes. The award was announced at a ceremony held last night near HEICO's Hollywood, FL headquarters. Mr. Irwin was the winner among numerous nominees considered from public companies.
Mr. Irwin joined HEICO in 1982 as the Vice President and Treasurer from national accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He was named HEICO's Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in 1986. In 1991, he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure with the Company, he has been one of the key members of HEICO's 4-person Office of the CEO that has overseen HEICO's nearly 20% compound annual growth in sales and income since 1990.
