Larson joins Dateline NBC from KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, WA, where she served as co-anchor of the 10 p.m. news broadcast since 1994. Larson was the station's principal political reporter, covering primaries and both national political conventions during the 1996 presidential election. At KIRO, Larson won several reporting awards, including an Emmy for Age of Rage, a documentary about incivility in America.

Prior to joining KIRO, Larson was with NBC News from 1990 to 1994. She was the news anchor for the Today show and served as a domestic and foreign correspondent, based in Burbank and London. She covered stories including the Yugoslavian civil war, the release of American hostages from the Middle East and European elections.

Dateline NBC, this years most honored news magazine, is the winner of eight News Emmys, six National Headliner Awards, five Edward R. Murrow Awards, four Clarion Awards, a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Dupont Silver Baton.
