Swinton Bikes, the specialist motorbike insurance division of the UK's leading high street insurance retailer, has announced its sponsorship of the Wirral Egg Run 2010.
The annual event attracts around 10,000 bikers and raises money for local charities, focusing on young people and hospitalised children.
Motorcyclists gather at New Brighton and race the 20-mile route to Clatterbridge Hospital in convoy, where eggs or cash donations are delivered to the children.
Every year thousands of spectators gather to watch the Run and extra donations are gathered by volunteers along the route.
Swinton Bikes will be out in force on the day to show off its new Suzuki Hayabusa and the Swinton Sirens will be handing out promotional items.
Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bikes, said: "The Wirral Egg Run is a great charity event for bikers to get involved in. It offers an opportunity to meet others from the biking world while helping a worthy cause.
"We're delighted to be able to sponsor the event this year, especially as it's the 30 year anniversary. We hope that thousands of bikers will join us to mark the unofficial start of the biking season."
The event on Sunday 28th March 2010 is open to anyone who has a license, motorbike insurance and who is kitted out in appropriate clothing, including a legal crash helmet.
Trikes, sidecars, mopeds, scooters, classic or vintage bikes and road-legal quad bikes are all welcome at the Wirral Egg Run.
