WASHINGTON -- A 24-year-old is dead after four were shot in the Petworth neighborhood in northwest D.C. Monday evening.
Michael Harris of 4th Street, NW, died during a shooting that took place in an alley behind the 900 block of Hamilton Street around 6:30 p.m. Monday. A shot spotter picked up the sound and officers were sent to the scene, police said.
In addition to the fatality, one person is in critical condition, one is in serious condition, and one suffered only minor injuries.
Police are still investigating the case. They have called for a lookout on an older model, blue station wagon.
