Indianapolis - Counselors are on hand at Southport High School after students were involved in a deadly crash this weekend.
Friends of 17-year-old Shelby Worthington brought candles and posters to the crash site at Madison avenue and I-70.
Worthington was one of two people ejected from the backseat in the accident. The boy sitting next to her, 17-year-old Christopher Diaz, is in critical but stable condition at Wishard Hospital.
Police say a 17-year-old driver lost control of the car, crossed the median and was hit by an oncoming SUV.
Both teens in the front seat and the driver of the SUV were taken to Wishard in stable condition.
Friends of the teen who died are still trying to deal with the loss.
"She was a really good person. I mean, she never did anything wrong. And she was a really good friend. She was here for everyone that needed her," said Brianna Ward, a friend.
Police are still investigating but say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
