A fire burning near Lake San Antonio since Wednesday has been fully contained, Cal Fire said.

The Bryson Fire charred 3,383 acres before being fully contained at about 1 p.m. Friday.

The blaze was sparked by a mobile home fire at Interlake and Bryson-Hesperia roads 20 miles southwest of King City, Cal Fire officials said.

The flames from the mobile home fire caught some brush and the mixture of hot weather conditions and strong winds caused the blaze to grow rapidly.

The fire forced about 20 ranches to be evacuated in south Monterey County and destroyed three residences and two outbuildings.

Crews will continue to mop up hot spots and patrol the fire in the area.
