Russia's Mission Control says an unmanned Russian cargo ship has docked successfully at the international space station to deliver supplies for its six-member crew.
Mission Control spokesman Valery Lyndin says the crew smoothly guided the Progress M-67 spacecraft to the station's docking port Wednesday using manual controls. He said an automatic docking system wasn't used in order to save fuel.
The spacecraft was launched Friday from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Lyndin said the Progress delivered over 2.75 tons (2.5 metric tons) of water, food, fuel, oxygen and other supplies for the station's crew.
The station's permanent crew doubled to six in May — two Russians, an American, a Canadian, a Japanese and a Belgian.
