Police found the body of a missing 9-year-old quadriplegic girl in a public storage facility near Flint, Mich.
Investigators found the body of Shylea Thomas early Wednesday at a storage facility in Vienna Township, about 65 miles northwest of Detroit, Flint police said in a statement.
Officers went to a Flint home after receiving a call from state Department of Human Services workers that the girl was missing, Detective Sgt. Mitch Brown said.
Investigators learned overnight where her body was stored and that Shylea died several weeks ago, Brown said.
Police arrested one person but haven't identified the person.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death.
