Is your new iPhone 5S getting battery life that seems shorter than advertised? Maybe it's your wireless settings or your Netflix habits or that fitness tracker that uses GPS all day. In a "very limited number" of cases, it may actually be a faulty battery, according to Apple.

Don't panic, though; here's the statement the company issued to NBC News:

We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5s devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life. We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.

It doesn't appear to be a recall, like the flaw recently found in 2012-2013 MacBook Airs' flash storage. There's no tool to check if your phone is affected, and no specific run of serial numbers at risk, either. Apple says they're reaching out, so read anything that comes through the company's official channels. Still, if you think you're affected, stop by an Apple store and ask them take a look.
