As the creator of Marvel Comics and many of its most memorable faces, including Spider-Man, The Hulk, Captain America, and Iron Man, Stan "The Man" Lee is a living, breathing legend among make-believe super heroes. And many of his creations have become crossover stars in the worlds of movies and video games. In the case of the former, Lee has made cameos in every big-screen adaptation in recent memory, so for those wondering when he'll grace a gaming console, that day is almost here.
In "The Amazing Spider-Man" game, based upon the Hollywood reboot due later this summer, not only will Lee be making an appearance, he'll be playable as well. The news was broke by Addict of Fiction:
No word yet as to what part he'll play. Perhaps Lee will fight along-side Spidey, and face off against foes like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus? In that case, one has to wonder what powers he'll have. Perhaps players will assume the mantle of the real-life person, and as a comic book creator, be part of some meta game in which one must compose Peter Parker's exploits before they play out?
The possibilities are endless. Or maybe he'll just be an alternate skin for the web slinger. That's perhaps the safest bet.
