In other hacker news, Australian Federal Police have arrested the self-proclaimed leader of the international hacking group LulzSec, the collective that claimed responsibility for infiltrating and shutting down the CIA website.

In lesser news, Reuters dismissed Matthew Keys, the deputy social media editor of Reuters.com who was indicted on charges of aiding members of the Anonymous hacking collective.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a call with investors today that we can expect Apple to explore "new product categories." But when pressed for a launch timeframe, Cook would only say his team was "hard at work on amazing new hardware, software and services we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014."

And yet, Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place June 10 through June 14 this year. As usual, it will be held in San Francisco and bring us the latest news about iOS and OS X. Weeeeeeee!!!
