Nearly everyone has taken a peek at Facebook while at the office. It turns out executives are not fans of this behavior — even though they are the ones most likely to be using social media for private purposes at work, a new study from the University of Bergen in Norway said. As people climb the corporate ladder they're increasingly more apt to look down on browsing Facebook and Twitter while on the clock. Yet, it's executives who do the most browsing, the study said, possibly because the line between work and recreation time is blurred for those putting in long hours. Other factors connected with more private social media use in the office: being young, male and single.
