The co-creator of popular dating app Tinder announced on Monday that his company plans to debut a "premium" version of the service in November. Sean Rad, speaking at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Philadelphia, explained that a number of new features are planned, and that "they will offer so much value we think users are willing to pay for them." He declined to mention what those features would be, but suggested one might let Tinder expand outward from dating — into, perhaps, nearby restaurant or bar recommendations. The basic feature set, he stressed, would remain free — so don't worry if you're one of its millions of avid users. The "freemium" model has been adopted by numerous online dating services, including big ones like OK Cupid and Match.com — both of which are owned by Internet holding firm IAC, which also has a controlling interest in Tinder.
