Beats Music is not long for this world. The audio-streaming service announced on Thursday that it will be closing up shop at end of the month.
Last year, Apple bought Beats Music and Beats Electronics for $3 billion. Over the summer, the folks in Cupertino launched a streaming service, Apple Music, complete with its own Beats 1 live radio station.
Since hitting the market in June, Apple Music has attracted 6.5 million customers who shell out $9.99 a month for unlimited access to 30 millions songs.

"Beats Music ends on November 30," the company wrote on its website. "Your subscription will be cancelled, but you can move your picks and preferences over to Apple Music right now."
Beats noted that "all the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more amazing experiences" on Apple Music.
Earlier this week, Apple Music widened its appeal by releasing an app for Android. While not as popular as Spotify, Apple Music is enjoying a much smoother start than Beats Music, which reportedly only gained a few hundred thousand users in its first few months.
