If you want to let your old-school geek flag fly, don this watch and see who gets the reference. It's based on the Flux Capacitor, a key element of Doc's time-traveling DeLorean in "Back to the Future." No need to get this thing up to exactly 88 mph, but you will need a quick mind to tell what time it is. When you hit the bottom button, the 12 lights will flash, showing successively the hour, the first digit of the minute, then the second. For instance, at 9:45, it would flash nine times, then four, then five. You'll probably get used to it in no time, but anyone watching will likely be perplexed.
The date (hopefully the current one) is displayed below the face — and a press of the middle button will flash the lights and display a random year, month and day. The LEDs and stainless steel body should be fairly sturdy, unlike the cool but unreliable DeLorean the Back to the Future Flux Capacitor Wristwatch is based on. 1.21-"jiggawatt" battery included.
