Look at your mouse. Now look at the Logitech MX Master. Is there any comparison? Maybe, if you're a connoisseur of fine mice and already have an impressive specimen. But this latest peripheral may be the most impressive of the species — when it comes to productivity, anyway (gamers have their own needs). The general shape of the wireless MX Master may be familiar to users of previous Logitech mice, but this one adds a few new twists. Up top is a scroll wheel that clicks when you rotate it slowly, but spins rapidly and frictionlessly if you give it a real go. A second wheel, for sideways scrolling or swapping applications, resides near the thumb shelf, giving that lazy digit something to do. Meanwhile, a special dongle lets you swap the mouse between any three devices quickly — no more swapping dongles or fiddling with Bluetooth settings.
A hundred bucks is a lot to shell out for a mouse, but like so many things, you tend to get what you pay for. A solid mouse can last for many years, while a cheap one might wear out after one or two, and be a pain to use the whole while.
