The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be making its way to Sprint on April 22. It will be priced at $199 — which is a cool hundred bucks less than what the Verizon version of the device currently runs for.

(The catch, as always, is that you have to sign a new two-year service agreement.)

The Galaxy Nexus will be the first Sprint device to run Android 4.0 — better known as Ice Cream Sandwich — straight out of the box. It offers a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a bright 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, dual cameras and support for 4G LTE. (Though it's worth noting that Sprint's 4G LTE footprint is pretty darn small and that the Galaxy Nexus does not run on the carrier's WiMax 4G network.)

Thanks to Google Wallet, Near Field Communication (NFC) technology and a slightly bigger battery, the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus can easily be used as a payment device (unlike the Verizon model). Sprint customers get a $10 instant credit on their Google Wallet accounts and an extra $40 credit after three weeks, just to get started with the service and technology.

The Galaxy Nexus can be pre-ordered right now, through the Sprint website, or purchased in stores and online once it launches. Impatient folks should keep in mind that pre-orders will ship about two days before the device actually goes on sale everywhere else.
