Between your laptop, your desktop, your work computer, a handful of cloud services, and your phone or camera itself, it can be hard to tell where to find a particular photo. Bevy is a new device that aims to fix that problem. It's a tiny, network-connected hard drive dedicated to nothing else but storing and serving the photos and videos taken by you, your family, and whoever else you want to include.
The Bevy itself sits at home, plugged into your main Internet connection — then an app available for most PCs and phones lets new photos be added to this central repository. Great for family photos and events — no more huge email chains or links to shared folders you have to log into. Sure, you could just put everyone on a shared Dropbox folder or the like, but Bevy has a full terabyte of space that will take much longer to fill up. Of course, at $250 ($350 if you don't pre-order before April 30), it's also quite a bit more expensive. Take a look if you think it's worth the money to keep a dozen or so friends and family connected.
