Apple revealed the schedule Wednesday for its Worldwide Developers Conference, including a 10 a.m. keynote on June 2 that will likely bring news of new devices or at least major changes to the iOS and OS X operating systems.
As before, the schedule is available as an iOS app, though it has been updated this year with a new, lighter iOS 7 theme. There are places for news and videos to be browsed, but the schedule is full of teasing titles, since the topics are still secret: "Wouldn't you like to know" starts at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by "Our lips are sealed on this one, too" at 4:30 p.m.
The rumor mill, however, has been churning nonstop for the past couple months, and a few significant updates are expected to be announced on the morning of the 2nd.
No, it's probably not the mythical iTV, reportedly hampered by delays. And this year's iPhone update is expected to be a large one, and will almost certainly get its own event.
Instead, expect a major redesign of OS X, Apple's well-known but aging desktop OS. The new version should get a fresh look and a focus on more Apple services like fitness, mapping and iOS-crossover services.
New hardware isn't out of the question, though; some expect a Retina MacBook Air, the rumored iWatch, or perhaps a large-screened "iPad Pro" that would match up nicely against the new Microsoft Surface 3. But separate events for these over the summer could also be in the cards, so any or none of them could show up.
