The House could vote as soon as Thursday on a measure that would authorize aid to be fast-tracked for Ukraine, a House Republican leadership aide says.
Congress has already approved the funds for the loan guarantees in spending bills, but the legislation would direct the flow of the aid money to the conflict-torn nation.
According to the aide, if the administration needs more money for Ukraine, it can request transfers from other appropriations. The legislation under consideration not include an actual dollar amount for the aid package.
According to the aide, the House could vote as soon as Thursday on the one page bill, but it's more likely that they will consider it next week.
