The toll of the Syrian Civil War has been staggering. At least 10,000 children have been killed in the conflict and more than 5,000,000 are in need of humanitarian assistance, according to UNICEF.

Refugees have been fleeing to neighboring countries, seeking food, shelter and medical care.
