The last victim still hospitalized following the stabbing spree at a suburban Pittsburgh high school was released Saturday — more than a month after he and 20 others were injured in the chaos.

Franklin Regional High School sophomore Greg Keener was released from Forbes Hospital after 38 days of surgeries and complications in his recovery, a hospital spokesman said.

"An emotional attachment exists throughout the hospital for these young men and their families and there is tremendous joy knowing that they all survived," said Forbes Hospital President and CEO Reese Jackson in a statement. "It has been an honor to provide care and treatment to the injured Franklin Regional students."

Keener's sister, Rachel Keener, who had been documenting his time in and out of ICU on her Twitter page, wrote that she was "the happiest sister in the world," upon her brother's return home.

Stabbing suspect Alex Hribal, 16, has been charged as an adult with 21 counts of attempted homicide and aggravated assault for the April 9 attack.
