Double-amputee Oscar Pistorius denied firing a gun through the sunroof of a car that was stopped by cops for speeding as he gave evidence at his murder trial Tuesday.

“That never happened,” he told the court, although he said his firearm was in the car and that he carried a weapon with him at all times.

Pistorius said he was partly to blame for an incident in which a gun went off in a restaurant. Pistorius said a “careless” friend handed him a weapon that was loaded. "I made mistake in asking for a firearm in the restaurant, he made the mistake over giving me on that was loaded,” the athlete said.

The trial continues.
