A vigil honoring the victims of the attacks in Paris, and the first responders who came to their aid, will be staged Monday afternoon at the 9/11 memorial site in New York.
The gathering would be in tribute to those killed and injured as well as emergency crews "who confronted terror and tragedy with incredible bravery," the National September 11 Memorial and Museum said in a statement.
It asked people to arrive at the Survivor Tree on the Memorial no later than 2:15 p.m. ET Monday.
Blue, white and red items representing the French flag will be distributed and attendees are welcome to place their own items at the memorial, it added.
"We welcome all those who wish to pay their respects and show support for France during this difficult time," the statement added.
The planned gathering came as French police launched dozens of raids overnight as part of the colossal manhunt in the wake of the deadly attacks that saw more than 120 people killed across the French capital Friday.
