On Tuesday, the NBA announced that it had banned L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million. Players (past and present) immediately took to social media and reacted to the ruling from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, one of the biggest and most damning in sports history.
"We stand together in condemning Mr. Sterling's views," Silver said. "They simply have no place in the NBA."
The move comes after days of outrage at ugly words attributed to Sterling from a taped conversation with an ex-girlfriend.
