KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - None of the communication between missing Flight MH370 and air traffic controllers indicated “anything abnormal,” investigators in Malaysia said Tuesday as they the released an official transcript of the radio conversations.
The transcript, which can be seen in full here [PDF link], is the first piece of primary evidence from the investigation to be released to families and the media.
It also confirms that the final words from the flight deck to air traffic controllers were the routine sign-off: “Good night, Malaysian three seven zero.”
Those words are believed to have been spoken by 27-year-old First Officer Fariq bin Ab Hamid, although this has yet to be confirmed by investigators.
“Previously, Malaysia Airlines had stated initial investigations indicated that the voice which signed off was that of the co-pilot,” Malaysia’s transport ministry said in a statement Tuesday. “The police are working to confirm this belief, and forensic examination of the actual recording is ongoing.”
